Being a loose, free flowing dress with lots of give, I suggest going down a size. If you're in between sizes, choose the smaller option. Personally for me, being a size 14-16 with a large bust (more on the 16 side) I am more comfortable in the Large rather than the X Large. Loose fit, best to size down.
